I was recently messing around in Pikmin while doing a Pacifist run and I noticed something: The flying insects in Pikmin 1 are all located near where the Ujadani spawn in Pikmin 2. They appear near where the engine was, which is where the dream den is. They are located in the Figworts near the stump, which is where the Ujadani spawn, and they are near the Rock that has the pellet posies on it, which is another place where Ujadani spawn. The only two region that the flying insects spawn are in the Impact Site and Final Trial, which end up becoming the Wistful Wild. Could these flying bugs somehow relate to Ujadani?

Nice find, it seems like a possibility but the fact that the flowers are missing makes me think that they aren't

Maybe the flying insects were food for the plant that became the Ujadani?

Mmm... Obviously, there's probably no connection between them besides proximity, but we could say that the flying bugs evolved into the ujadani.
Also: pacifist runs are a thing in Pikmin?

Yeah, pretty much you have to kill only enemies who drop ship parts. Makes certain areas like the armored cannon beetle and bulbear much more difficult

I should try that out sometime...but I really should I finish my 11 day run of Pikmin 2 without sprays and Purples first. That one has been going on too long. I really need to get back into playing Pikmin; Splatoon's been stealing away all its attention.
