Assuming it didn't impact main game development too much of course. What would you like to see from one, a 2D platformer, a game where you play as the Pikmin?
Pikmin:Amiibo Festival would obviously be the best choice.

Pikmin:Amiibo Festival would obviously be the best choice. Let's not have a Pikmin: Amiibo Festival. I'm not spending money to buy a game that isn't even there until you buy amiibo, no thank you. (...Wait, I can't tell. Was that comment sarcastic or serious?)
I wouldn't mind having a 2D platformer, though. I think it'd be pretty interesting, and you could incorporate unique Pikmin elements into it that'd really make it stand out compared to other platformers.

A Pikmin platformer would be cute!
I would like to see a RPG. Training up Pikmin to be the best like no Pikmin ever was.

I tried making a 2D Pikmin platformer once. The result was actually pretty fun, but not very Pikmin-esque, and I think that's because in two dimensions a platformer game naturally flows more linearly. There isn't really a point to bringing items back to a hub like the ship or Onion, since there are only 4 directions Pikmin can travel on a plane. Not very exploratory. Or maybe I didn't design it right.

I feel Pikmin Adventures is already a good start for spinoffs. I like to see a Pikmin Tower Defense tho, I love me TD.

I think it'd be cool to have a Pikmin RPG. But one problem that's always bothered me is what happens to the enemy carcasses? I've always pondered it but never found an answer.
Also: Pikmin Warriors! I loved Hyrule Warriors so I think it'd be cool if there was ever a Pikmin Warriors. But there's even less characters in Pikmin than in Zelda... And also, I'm not quite sure how the Pikmin and enemies would act... Oh well.

I'd love to see a tower defense, a Mission Maker, or maybe a 'Team Pikmin vs. Team Creature' type game? I'll elaborate that at a later date.

I remember watching a review of a old PS1 game where you raised monsters to fight against other monsters. I think it was called Monster Ranch? I think this could work with Pikmin. You could farm Pikmin and train them to fight other Pikmin. You should be able to breed Pikmin to be able to create new types. Like breed a Red Pikmin with a Blue Pikmin. Then you get one resistant to fire and water.

Oh yeah, the Pikmin interbreeding thing reminded me of an idea I had a long time ago that there could be one Onion in a Pikmin game and the three primary-color types of Pikmin to begin with, and mixing types of Pikmin carrying items back would mix the color produced. Once I started realizing that you could get past quaternary colors (and different tints or shades if you had White Pikmin), I abandoned the idea.

A Pikmin adventure game or survival game could work-- but honestly if a spin-off adheres to the same RTS genre, just with a smaller story/side story, I wouldn't mind it either. That'd be pretty cool!
