HELP I HAVE COMPULSIVE AVATAR CHANGING DISORDER

I didn't know that Rock Pikmin can destroy the Electric Plasm. Thinking about it, a full 100 Rock Pikmin squad would be absolute chaos, trying to whistle them from across the battle field, and being knocked all over the place. Maybe a 0/85/0/0/15 strategy is the way to go as Water Plasms are his most deadly attack, if only because trying to save Pikmin from it is a fucking nightmare. I'll have to try it someday. You'd be surprised, the Plasm Wraith is surprisingly easy with 100 rocks. Charge them all onto it with a spicy spray and they'll do A LOT of damage. It's a bit of a hassle trying to whistle them, but usually what happens is a few rocks sit on the sidelines, out of reach from the wraith and when I notice them, I whistle them back. Admittedly I don't think I've ever destroyed the electric plasm without yellows but I've heard you can. I have a complete save file so I'll try it out now and see if I can. Edit: I just tested and the electric plasm can be destroyed with rocks. While it's rising up, assault it with a volley of rocks and it should dissipate into blobs.

It's not that the other modes are bad, I'm just clueless on how to do well. Call me a perfectionist, I'm just puzzled on what strategy to use for Battle Enemies and Defeat Bosses.

Defeat Bosses! is exactly what it sounds like. Aside from the Mireclops giving you Reds and not Wings and the Plasm Wraith giving you a 20 of each, their pretty easy to platinum. Battle Enemies! sucks. HARD. Strict time limits, with hordes of powerful enemies. You'd think that having Onions would make it easier, but it's more or less just pity on you for how many Pikmin you're going to lose. The DLC for Collect Treasures! is really awesome. I'm particularly fond of the Thirsty Desert Remix, Fortress of Festivity, and Forgotten Cove stages.

Alright, I might try Defeat Bosses later, Battle Enemies still seems a bit daunting, since I don't like pikmin dying at all, plus I'm not quick enough to kill everything. I have played Tropical Wilds Remix and the Fortress of Festivity because they come free with the update, but I haven't moved out, and am too socially awkard to get eShop cards or ask for debit card use which is why I don't buy DLC in general.

The first time I battled the Plasm Wraith I lost so many Pikmin I gave up and went with 100 Rock Pikmin for the rest of the battle. It was very tedious but it worked. The only problem was that Pikmin jump when suffering from fire, electricity, or water, so sometimes when the Plasm Wraith spit out three different Elemental Plasms some poor Rock Pikmin would continuously jump between electrocution and drowning, and I couldn't whistle them out of it until the Plasms were gone. At least they don't die from that though.

I love how this went from "What's your favorite Pikmin game?" to "How to defeat the Mysterious Life Form/Plasm Wraith?", lol. But yeah, for the chase part, I bring an army of 20 Reds, 35 Rocks, 10 Yellows, 35 Wingeds, and no Blues. Reds and Rocks are used for combat and destroying walls, and Yellows are used only for electrodes. I put 10 Wingeds on Olimar and use the rest of them to collect the bridge fragments in the second half of the area. Spicy Sprays are really good throughout the whole Oak, and they speed things quite a bit. As for which way I go... It depends, really. For the Plasm Wraith fight: normally I just use 100 Rocks, again spamming Spicy Sprays. Crystal plasms are no problem, you have to be quick with fire plasms (or else your Pikmin start jumping and burning) and even quicker with electric plasms (sometimes they get out of reach before I can destroy them). The part when it starts flying is really annoying because it'll start stabbing at my Pikmin from above, and it won't land until all the Pikmin have left. But Pikmin take a long time to leave because they're less responsive than in P2, so I find myself yelling at them to get up, and really it just wastes a lot of time. I also don't like it when it starts spewing three plasms at once because often times there's an electric or a water plasm, and like Scruffy said, they keep jumping between those two (electrocuted Pikmin don't jump btw ) and it gets irritating because I sometimes lose a Pikmin and I have to start the fight all over again... Also, in the middle of all the chaos, I can't choose which one I want to destroy fast enough, so things start slowing down towards the end. The Plasm Wraith fight is definitely harder than the Mysterious Life Form chase, but it's not impossible.

For the chase section, I recommend a 20/20/20/10/30 team. You really only need 20 Reds, Rocks, and Yellows to get their jobs done, keep 10 Wings on Olimar at all times and your 30 Blues can shortcut through the water to easily build the bridge in the cave right before the end. PRO TIP: Instead of going to the area with the two Blowhogs, the Bearded Amprat, and Swooping Snitchbug, have your Rock Pikmin bust open the glass wall. Here, you have access to some Bomb Rocks that can blow open the Stone Wall at the beginning, thus creating a MASSIVE shortcut. For the boss, Take two captains armed with 75 Rock Pikmin, and leave the third by base with 5 Reds, Yellows, Blues, and 10 Wings. Whenever he throws up a Fire, Electricity, or Water Plasm, have your Rock Pikmin team distract him while the third captain swoops in and destroys the Plasm. When he starts throwing three up at one time, I recommend only going after two of them as your Pikmin probably need whistling at this point. When he starts flying, charge Wings at him. When they bring him down, toss Rock Pikmin at him for some good damage. And of course, always keep Pikmin under the effects of a Spicy Spray. ANOTHER PRO TIP: Remember, you're right next to the Onion the whole battle. If you feel that you're losing too many Pikmin or aren't a fan of your setup, you can always make adjustments. After seeing your profile picture I read 20/20/20/10/30 as 20/20/20/20 and for sure thought you were talking about fnaf.
