I LOVE THIS. I'm slightly concerned on how this will sound when voices are overlapped, but I will try my best to fit it in! I'm eagerly awaiting your other ideas

I made a thread about it, but I want to see blues pikmin, with a hat and a guitar. It would be pretty cute I think.

So this is that drawing i was talking about, it's not colored because i hadn't really decided in the color, i think #ce7336 for the body, #d05e11 for the #e1ab86 for the skin connecting the tentacles and #5fb0e1 for the eyes would fit it. this big tentacles should be this color #d05e11. The bottom part is dark grey and the beak is white but i don't think you need to color that part. This was based on Vampire squids by the way.

Here's the Hanger Vampuid render! I hope the colors worked out well; this particular mixture of textured diffuseness, glossiness, and translucency took a couple hours to make! But I'm willing to retouch it if you have any changes you want made!

(even though we discussed it in IRC, i will write this down so people realize the changes) thanks, this looks really good, it looks just how i imagined it but since this is supposed to be hanging, the tentacles are actually meant to be behind it's head. other than that it is perfect.

How many Pikmin it can eat depends on its size, medium: 4, large: 8. their real color is the one you see in the model but they can actually camouflage to fit how the wall they are clinging to looks like, if they are clinging to the ceiling you wont be able to see them at all. they can shoot (glowing)ink that act pretty much the same as regular ink. if you have enough pikmin on them, you can make them fall and make them vulnerable until they can get to the wall again.

Interesting...so these would only be found in caves, right? Unless if there's some kind of outdoor variant that you plan on making. Also, ink? What's this "regular" ink that you mentioned?

What's this "regular" ink that you mentioned? like the ink that sputtlefishes and bloysters shoot and yes, they are cave enemies. originally it only had one "tentacle" in its head that coiled in a branch and extended to the ground but for that to work, branches would need to be really down there so they could reach the food or they would need to be creatures that only eat stuff that passes near them on lower branches.

Oh, right, gotcha. And that makes sense (about the branches part). I was thinking they could hang to walls and tree trunks and stuff like that, but it's your enemy, not mine.

I was actually planning to make this something like a "public" enemy, if you like it you can add it to your fan game and change whatever you like about it being abilities or where you can find it but i haven't made the thread yet (saya no uta)
