I know there was nothing Pikmin-related on the direct, but that's why this thread is in this location! What did all of you think of the direct? Did you like something? Hate Something? Overall Opinions?

I liked that they released the generation 1 pokemon games on 3ds e-shop and I found the cloud for smash reveal surprising because I really thought shovel knight was going to be added

Twas good/goodish, loved all of the RPGs (you have no idea how happy I am that the 3DS Dragon Quest remakes are being brought west). New Splatoon update trailer was good, Xenoblade X was nothing new, Mario tennis and AC:AF were mediocre, Twilight Princess looks fine, Smash was out of nowhere and awesome, Pokemon was cool I guess, eshop games were cool I guess (KSP hype), and if I am missing anything please tell me. The only part I did not like was Hyrule Warriors Legends. The trailer and Linkles were fine, I have no problem with them, but the idea of the game itself still angers me. It is a $40 port of a fun game, but a game I have no need to replay, BUT to unlock the Wind Waker characters (that I really wanted as DLC) on the Wii U version, you have to buy this game, which to me, makes it $40 DLC.
Overall a good direct. No outstanding announcements (other than Dragon Quest and Cloud), and no where close to being amazing, but not at all bad. It was an all around good, maybe okay direct.

Also is it only me, or did the one guy from NoE (not Shibata) in the European Direct really creep me out?

It was alright but I wanted Pikmin and shovel knight. Also I guess Nintendo has hopped aboard the gend-bend train.

I don't see it is an issue, its not like she is replacing link. I still think link will be male in Zelda U, or at least you will be able to pick Link's gender, which on one hand would be good as it would please everyone, but on another hand, it would ruin all possibility for a good plot FOCUSED on developing Link's character, like in OoT or Skyward Sword (more SS in this case)
