I always wondered who played the voices for the Captains and the Pikmin. Nothing said in the Pikmin games is completely comprehensible besides some of the things the Pikmin say and names for the Captains, so I wonder if they made fictional languages for the Koppaians and Olimar + Louie in Pikmin 3, or is it just scrambled up words?

Olimar and Louie are both Kazumi Totaka, who had a heavy hand in designing the game and sound effects. Alph is Hajime Wakai, the main music guy in all three games. Brittany is Atsuko Asahi and Charlie is Takashi Nagasako; I'm not sure if they've had any role in Pikmin before. And the (US) narrator for Pikmin 3's prologue and epilogues is Julian Macfarlane. Most of the Koppaite and Hocotatian spoken languages in Pikmin 3 are just scrambled up syllables; they don't seem to have a grammar or a particular meaning. But some key phrases (like "Pikmin," "Captain," "Hocotate," "Koppai," "Dolphin," "Drake," names, etc.) are spoken in English.
As for the Pikmin, I'm not sure who did the voices, but I know it's more than one person. They're all sped up 100% from their original recordings, and when slowed down quite a few sound like different voices from others. I have a strong hunch that Hajime Wakai and Kazumi Totaka provided at least some of these voices (Totaka is also the voice of Yoshi). I also have an idea that Shigeru Miyamoto himself recorded a few of these sounds, such as the Pikmin shouting, "Hi!" or "Whoopee!" upon being plucked. Those are specifically someone speaking in falsetto, and they just sound like a different voice entirely. It might not be him, but it's someone different. Rock and Winged Pikmin are still a mystery though.

Cool. The Winged and the Rock sound so much different from the other Pikmin, so I'm not sure.

I can do a pretty good Olimar impression.

It shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but it's as if Olimar is a silent character in Super Smash Bros. (Even though he was quiet 90% of the time until Pikmin 3 came along)

...I knew that that information was wanted a long time ago, but I seriously don't remember it being added at any point. Welp, I'll just leave now.
