Link: www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/02-26-2016/#/video-ndirectAre you done? Good. Not much was revealed, aside from Pokémon Bank support for virtual console RBY and Sun and Moon versions but eh, I wasn't expecting much anyway, considering it was 5 minutes long. I was pretty surprised by both things (honestly thought they were gonna do Z) in a good way of course, even if all we know about S&M are the titles.

The new games I feel need to be the revival of the series because they've literally just been re-releasing the same old game over and over for all 6 gens. But their still fun to play, there honestly just at least needs to be a better experience than X and Y.

I think that Gen 5 made a good attempt at trying to refresh things with a bit more plot than usual. (but debating if it worked or not is another story.) I'd like to see bigger changes with Sun and Moon, seeing as it's the 20 th anniversary. It'd be disappointing if all they did for the anniversary was just to re-release the old games without making any updates...

I saw someone say something on Twitter that sums up everything perfectly. This was a 5 minute direct, don't know what people were expected. The person on Twitter brought up the idea that this could have been originally planned to be part of the next Direct, but was moved to today bemuse today is the series 20th anniversary and they wanted to celebrate that.

"don't know what people expected" you say it as if you or anyone knew it was going to be 5 mins long

Huh. I didn't know that either. I suppose that makes it better. I mean I knew they said "approximately 6 minutes in length" when on the waiting page but I didn't even see that beforehand.
