Here's a newer version of that Gamemaker prototype shown in the video: drive.google.com/open?id=0B-Kmy30x4AH0SWduNWRiT0NQblUIt's pretty unstable, but it works. Use the middle mouse button to pan the camera, left click to call Pikmin, right click to whistle Pikmin, Q to dismiss, and use WASD to move.

Oh my god, I just watched the first video. It looks amazing! I've been thinking of making a Pikmin game in 3D myself, but I'm not that experienced with Unity. I might start making one later on, but that'd be probably in a year or so. Can we have a progress update? Unfortunately, due to Nintendo's recent behavior towards fan projects, we've decided to put the project on hiatus until the scene clears up. We agreed that it'd be better to wait versus putting a ton of effort into this only to learn that it can't get released. HOPEFULLY Nintendo'll become a bit more lenient towards fan projects in the future. We'll just have to see. In terms of progress we made, I got most of the core movement and camera things working in Unity. We also planned out all of the regions and most of the treasure, and we even have some music composed. Oh, I see. Well then, best of luck, the game looks great so far!

I know it has been a while since someone posted in this thread, but I have to ask: is this project still in the works, or has it been cancelled?
I was also wondering if you would be willing to share the game's project files (unity scenes, scripts, etc.) because I'm also starting to learn Unity, and I also have plans for a 3D Pikmin fan-game. I can understand if you're not willing to share these files, though, especially if the game is still being worked on.
