Thought I'd finally make an account for this. Pikmin was the first video game I ever played. I think I was around 2 or 3 at the time. I didn't get very far considering how young I was, but I loved it anyway. I got Pikmin 2 a few days after it came out, but I didn't really understand the plot considering I was only 4. I ended up picking up the games again when I was around 8 or 9, and I played them all the way through.
Anyway, I've been working on a full-fledged, 3D pikmin fan game these past few weeks. It's too early in development to show anything, but it's coming along nicely. I'll talk about it more once it's in a presentable state.

Eh. I wanted the game to get a bit further in development before showing it off, but what the heck. Olimar is just a placeholder. I wanna use as few established pikmin characters as possible to help avoid a cease and desist. I'll have mostly unique enemies, aside from things like sheargrubs, bulborbs, breadbugs, beady long legs, and other staples. But yeah. I've got a lot left to work out. Collision detection on the map is almost completely absent, and what I have currently is riddled with bugs.

Pikmin 2 was my favorite because of the novelty of finding all those treasures. Venturing deep into caverns to find random junk with funny names attached. I wanna replicate that, but give everything else a fresh feel.

Hi, welcome to the forums! (Ugh, late, but still relevant-ish.) Your 3D fangame looks awesome, keep up the good work! Like Espyo, I'm also happy to see people working on their own real-world Pikmin projects.
