Pikifen
Download: linkWiki page: linkDiscord server: linkWhat is it?Pikifen is a tool that allows Pikmin fans to create and play their own content. You just feed it any Pikmin types, leaders, areas, etc. you want to see in action, and it creates a game for you that you can play straight away. Of course, the game is nowhere near as good as a canon Pikmin game. For one thing, you can expect it to be glitchy, since the engine is still under development, and it won't look or play as well, because I don't have the skill the Pikmin developers have. Also, in order to make things simpler, the game is seen from a top-down view. You can find more info in the wiki article. How do I play? You just download the latest version of the engine from the link above, unzip it, and run it. Normally, you would also need to download some content, but because there's not much of it online, I bundled some example content with the engine. It's what I use to test stuff with and showcase engine features. Give it a whirl! How do I create stuff? You can create a lot of content for the engine, but the ways to do so vary. There are tutorials in the included manual.
(Original post:) I've been developing the engine for years now, but today, I've decided to make a thread about it on the forums. Yesterday, I launched version 0.6, so it serves as an update as well. Let me know your thoughts, and feel free to use this thread to report glitches and improvements!

Another reason for me to get a computer of my own: so I can play around with your engine. Keep up the good work Espyo! Hopefully I'll be able to actually make PCW someday.

I feel like once you get this game released there could be a pretty big modding community around it or like level design and such.

Thanks for the words! I sure hope I can reach the point where any fangame can be made, and people are still around to use it. I also hope I can figure out how to compile it under Mac, one of these days.

I forget: are you using Mac? Or are you getting a specific error? Scruffy can play it under Mac just fine.

Hit me up on Skype. I'll try sending you a version of the executable that will show exactly where it crashes.

(For anybody wondering, we tried fixing the problem on Skype. Turns out there's no solution. The engine just refuses to start, period.)

Does anyone else using Winodws 10 have trouble getting it to work as well? (I also have a Lenovo Y500 though that probably doesn't matter)

This thread seems a bit dead, but yesterday I got this and tried it out. I've found it very easy to create content with this. I know it's really early in development but I've been testing around with it quite a lot actually! Thank you for making this, it has a lot of potential.

Thanks! And yeah, it's far from dead. I'm working on it almost every day (which is the best type of progress it's ever been at). I do suppose it's not getting much attention, but I can expect more people to play it and create on it the more mature it gets. I'm planning for a new release in late February, so I'll update the topic then.
