This is a discovery that just occurred 3 days ago as of this posting, and we only discovered it yesterday; Youtubeuser BielR3 has somehow successfully hacked several of Pikmin 3's unused enemies back into the game! They appear to be largely functional, with only a few bugs and crashes caused by them. He also discovered adjustable parameters that change the water height on maps. So far, he only has 3 videos on the matter, which I'll post the links to here:
- Video footage of the unused enemy, "Kakureimo":
- Video footage of Pikmin 3's unused Honeywisp:
- Video footage of the Thirsty Desert with custom water height:
We, the staff of Pikipedia, tried reaching out to him last night. We're hoping we'll hear back from him soon, and possibly even have him on a future Pikcast.

I asked him to test the crystal maro frog. He said he'd do it.

Now this is the stuff I love to hear about. At least now we know that Pikmin 3's unused content is somewhat functional and restorable (Correct me if I'm wrong).
