Bombardier Cannon Beetle Larva would be found mostly burried with their heads facing up out of a small indent in the ground. The way they attack is by sending a large bombrock into the air which would explode on contact with the ground. They only come out of the ground when a target is close enough to fire at and will only go back into the ground if either the target goes out of range or they're taking a lot of damage, the latter of which they'll quickly resurface. One BCBL may have up to 3 burrows it can surface from, but usually they only have one.

Imagine a boulder sized bomb rolling towards you/falling from the sky. The small bombs pikmin use already have a huge area of effect, imagine a bigger one.
by the way you should upload your drawing here too

This guy would be the bane of my existence. Though he would certainly be useful in clearing out other enemies...heheheheh!

what if there was a long-ranged equivalent? they burrowed underground at close range and you needed to dig them up with white pikmin? call it a mortar cannon larva
