Koppaites don't just have a written language, they have a spoken language that we hear in each of their dialogues. Sort of. Eventually, even though each phrase is structured uniquely, you start hearing the spoken words reused. And key words are English.
Do you like this choice? Do you think it gives the Koppaites character, or do you perhaps think the script has enough character and the gibberish distracts or detracts from the experience? I know it's sort of a given that the characters make some sort of noise when speaking, but how would you want that to manifest in Pikmin 4? More like the first game with Olimar's typing, more like the second with the ship's computerized sounds, or keep the path of Pikmin 3? Or do something different entirely? Or do you not think it matters since dialog can be skipped? Just wondering what you think
Personally I think I prefer Pikmin 2's dialog boxes; the ship's "voice" was interesting but never distracting, and it meant Olimar and Louie didn't have to speak on behalf of the player's actions or their own, which I thought was pretty clever. Yet they still gained character from the script itself, for example when the ship pointed out drool in the corner of Louie's mouth. Now Pikmin 3's voice acting was funny, enjoyable, and certainly memorable, but from the get-go I couldn't take anything they said particularly seriously. Maybe that's what the developers meant to happen; they must have been chuckling when they put the voice acting bit together.

I personally love the gibberish noise from captains in Pikmin 3. Quite a few characters in Nintendo's games have that effect with their dialogue and I've never had a problem with it.

Although I like the Pikmin 2's robotic sound, Pikmin 3 had more Captain dialogue than the previous games so it made sense to switch to gibberish. Maybe if the Hocotate ship works again, it can use the robotic sounds and maybe there will be a mix of the two.

Technically, the typing sounds DO return in Pikmin 3, in the form of the daily report being typed up. But compared to the first game, it's such a minor role...
But anyway, I'd personally love a combination of all three. I thought Pikmin 3's gibberish was awesome, but as you said, the same phrases got repeated over and over again. And there wasn't really that much emotion either; the only time you could hear them "yelling" was if they and/or Pikmin were getting attacked. So in Pikmin 4, I'd like much more varied phrases to pick from, as well as more emotional ones too. Midna from Twilight Princess was a great example of this. (Fun fact: If you didn't know already, Midna's "gibberish" was actually scrambled English!)
Regarding the other two communication noises, I was slightly disappointed to see that the S.S. Drake wasn't as involved with its crew the Hocotate Ship. I'd love to see a more interesting dynamic return between Pikmin 4's ship (whatever it'll be) and its crew. And as for the typing noises, I certainly hope there are more instances of them typing things than just a mere daily report. I just don't know where they'd put in those instances... Oh well.

Thanks for your response to this poll, everyone! I was curious what everyone thought, but I was also sort of wondering which route to go if I were ever to make a video game with non-human characters, which I'm planning to do! So thanks again for the input!

I've been replaying the original Pikmin so much, my game starts to lag. Oh well.

Wow, I'm the only one who chose "something new". I'll explain myself now. I think it would be cool if they actually made a language that isn't just gibberish, even if it sounds that way at first. Maybe easy enough for players to learn all of the words used and basic grammar. I know it's far fetched, but it's how I feel.

It may be difficult to make a new language, but they did it with Star Fox: Adventures, so a GOOD game deserves to have something similar
